The following general qualifications are preferred:

  

  • 2+ years of customer research and strategic design experience within an agency, consulting firm or technology focused start-up/organisation (designing, building, and launching customer inspired innovations - products/ services, CX, customer care innovations, business models, etc.)
  • Passion for customer innovation, human-centered design, design thinking
  • Strong human-centred design capabilities across a diverse range of projects (incl. prototyping and testing, future visioning, etc.)
  • Experience with facilitating client workshops is preferred (e.g. ideation workshops)
  • Experience with ethnographic research (quantitative and qualitative), divergent exploration, concept development and workshop facilitation
  • Experience in strategic design from discovery / research stage through to MVP launch and scaling up
  • A sense of autonomy and an ability to lead the design stream on a project
  • Natural self-direction, with the ability to operate in ambiguity and learn quickly
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work globally, travel to the project location

 

 

Main duties:

 

  • Working side-by-side with other strategic designers, consultants, engineers, data scientists to create customer innovation (products/ services, CX, customer care innovations, business models, etc.)
  • Supporting the design and definition of visions for product, service, experience or new business line that align with client strategic priorities and customer insights
  • Using knowledge of human-centered design principles and methodologies to support the development of project approach
  • Effectively communicating design ideas using a variety of techniques, including storytelling, customer journeys, customer service blueprints, low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, etc. (using tools like Miro, Figma, etc.)
  • Developing creative ethnographic studies, ideating the right research materials (stimuli, depth interviews, surveys, etc.) and executing them (online or in-person)
  • Planning and executing quantitative research (e.g. customer survey)
  • Planning and facilitating client workshops to ideate customer inspired solutions for our clients and problem solve together with the client
  • Analysing qualitative and quantitative customer research data to extract findings, and guide the design
  • Taking an active interest in strategic design and regularly share the subject with the broader team and community
  • Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Self-directing within consulting and innovation teams with the initiative to contribute beyond the scope of formal project duties (e.g. leading and supporting internal initiatives)
